Why we need to know about mythology?
Every culture has its own mythological tales in this world. Some such texts include heroic characters, gods, advanced techniques, mythical animals, and magnificent places. Historians and Puranic experts believe the validity of all these mythologies is doubtful. But the existence of all those sayings and events reflects the unbelievably attractive stories and the god-like creatures as humans.

Indian mythology is like an ocean. These are ancient stories that are provocative, entertaining, and always have a moral lesson hidden behind them. These stories reinforce the basis of moral values in children and provide an opportunity to know their culture. These stories are as important for the elders as they are for the children. But we see that in today's digital age, as we are getting progressive. we are forgetting our history and culture.
Let us focus on a few things that can be learned from mythology.
1. It stimulates our imagination
Mythology has a world of its own, with advanced technology, mystic creatures, and breathtaking imagination. It sets our running mind, as we begin to imagine everything we are told about. It shows us that, if we have a creative mind then nothing is impossible for us.
2. It explains the difference between good and bad
Mythology teaches us every time the difference between good and evil, justice, and injustice, and the importance of good and evil actions. We see every time that good always triumphs over evil. Be it Durga vs Mahishasura, or Rama vs Ravana or Pandava vs Kaurava or Krishna vs Vanasura.
3. It explains the power and definition of love and truth.
Whether it is love for the family or for others, mythology teaches us that love conquers all, and there is nothing greater than staying true to all those people. We all know that their path is not easy, we support the truth all the time. Mythological stories teach us that no matter what happens, truth only wins.
4. It introduces us to our roots and culture
As we often see, the festivals and customs often seen in Indian culture are very important, but very few people know their importance and meaning. Mythology teaches us why those things are as they are. These stories satisfy our curiosity and answer those questions.
5. It teaches us the importance of respect
Respect and discipline are not so different from each other as we think. These two are always pleasant. Mythology teaches us why and how we should respect our elders, teachers, and peers. Especially since childhood, it brings better discipline in children.
As far as I understand, we must have heard many mythological stories from our elders in childhood. We are going to start a small effort on behalf of Swiksha Tales to bring all those mythological stories to you. If you find something wrong, please try to correct us. We hope you all will like those stories.
